The Great Chore War

When you live alone, you can choose to clean or not. You can clean by rooms, sections, fast, slow, straighten up or deep clean. It’s your choice.

One of the most important lessons we’ve learned by being a couple is how to work with or around each other and our different cleaning methods. Harvey is a clean as you go person and I’m a one fail swoop kind of girl. So naturally in the beginning, we had a confrontation (or two) of sorts 😉 We decided the best thing for us was to divide most of the work load and share others. Here’s our breakdown:

 Harvey:

Bathroom
Trash
Folding
Killing bugs lol

Freda:

Kitchen
Laundry
Cooking

Everything else is done together like the bedroom and living room. Occasionally, we swap or do them together. Sometimes though, neither of us feels like cleaning and we spend a whole weekend lounging, watching movies, or doing outside activities. But we get right back on it when necessary. It’s just what works for us.

What type of cleaner are you?
