All right, all right…I give in! Seeing that it is now 3 days into December, I can no longer avoid it. You guessed right…Christmas! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t love it, I just wanted to postpone its arrival for a little bit. 🙂 Now that it’s here, I’m going to do the Christmas post I was tagged in back in early November by That Gent Mark on twitter. Let’s get to it!
1. What is your favorite Christmas movie(s)?
As a kid I LOVED Home Alone. Now, I think it’s Love Actually and The Family Stone. I like cheesy romantic movies with a little quirk lol
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
3. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?
As a kid, my sister, brother and I used to sleep under the tree on Christmas eve. I just remember it was so magical. Now that I think about it…it must have been hard for our parents to put the gifts down when we were right there. Kudos to them! If you still believe in Santa Claus…sorry 😉
4. Favorite festive food?
The sugar cookies that come in the circular blue tin! I don’t remember what they are called but we only got them at Christmas and they were wonderful! I might pick up a tin today. Hope my grocery store has them =)
5. Favorite Christmas gift?
I don’t have a favorite but I do remember one year, my aunt brought us all these giant glass piggy banks with money in them. They were huge…seriously. We kept them for a year and then broke them open and my parents deposited the money in accounts for us. I felt like a millionaire..ha!
6. Favorite Christmas scent?
Cinnamon pinecones….if you don’t know…get familiar lol
7. Do you have any Christmas eve traditions?
Besides when we slept under the tree as kids, no. Now, I just watch movies, drink hot chocolate and go to bed early. #Rockstarlifestyle
8. What tops your tree?
A golden star. As a kid for 2 years in a row, my mother had a black angel as the topper. I thought that was cool.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazily, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
A dog. Good thing I didn’t get it because I’m crazy allergic
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with family!
I appreciate tags like these! It makes me think about memories I’ve forgotten. Thanks, Mark!
