(It’s been a long time…we shouldn’t have left you…without some dope blogs to groove to) lol
Okay, maybe you can call it a come back! We’ve been on an unscheduled hiatus since December 3rd..but you know sometimes life happens. Where should I start?
In December, our last post of the year was the Christmas Tag. After that, hubby and I went to Florida for Christmas to visit my family. It was a great trip and we were more than grateful to get away from the freezing weather in DC. If you follow us on instagram, you’ve probably seen some of the pictures. (If you’re not, what are you waiting for??) When we got back, life just took over again. And guess what happened? My hubby got a job promotion and transfer! We’d set up a plan of action to leave DC as soon as we could and he found a position that he loved in the company. So, he applied, got the interview and BOOM now he’s the manager of a major department that oversees mobile operations for the entire US. How crazy is that?? I’m super proud of him but we both know that God opened that door and we are truly grateful and blessed.
We found out that Harvey got the job in mid-late January and they wanted him to start in February. It was such a quick turnaround! That was a good and a bad thing. lol We started the disconnecting and moving process right away. For now, I still have my full-time job and will work remotely and visit the office once or twice a month. I will keep doing that until they don’t let me anymore. It’s just a blessing to have such an understanding boss! We officially moved last weekend and we are no longer DC residents, we are official southerners living in North Carolina. But you know what? Since I’m originally from the south and we both are from small towns…this feels right. It’s just a better quality of living down here AND everything is so much CHEAPER! lol You can’t beat that!
We both put in for vacation this week so we could get settled and it’s been great. I’ve been able to arrange the house just like I want and we’ve been able to get familiar with the area a bit. We’ll keep you updated about the new place and our new little town. For now, I’ll leave you with pictures from the move. Did I mention that’s on my list of least favorite things? Sigh…
If you’re moving soon and have questions, let me know!
