March Madness Pinterest Challenge #1 – DIY Message Board

*This is not a sponsored post in any way. I just genuinely love it!*

Can you believe it’s March already?! How insane is that…time flies by so fast it’s hard to comprehend sometimes. Well, in honor of all things #MarchMadness, we’ve decided to join the festivities. Hubby and I love basketball and we moved to North Carolina at the perfect time. The rivalry between some universities is INTENSE down here. We’re thinking of reliving our college days and catching a game or two. Make sure you follow us on instagram just in case. Anywho…enough rambling…let our March Madness BEGIN!

I know I did all that talk about basketball but our March Madness is about PINTEREST*!  If you don’t have an account, you have no idea what you’re missing. Pinterest is a never-ending idea bucket with pretty pictures. I’ve pinned so many things it’s hard to keep track..I will admit that I am a Pinterest Fanatic. That’s where I got this idea. For the entire month of March, I will be attempting at least 3-4 Pinterest ideas a week and documenting them {I’m calling it March Madness Pinterest Challenge}. If they are successful…WOOHOO…if not…I’ll still show you what it looked like {#pinterestfail anyone?}. Ready to take this ride? If you’re a fanatic like me, join in! Make sure you leave a comment or tag me in your posts so I can revel in your Pinterest fabulousness.

Rules:
1) Link back to and provide a picture of the pin you’re attempting
2) Show pictures of your step by step process
3) Reveal the final result!

Pinterest Project #1

Glass Message Board

Pinterest1

Why didn’t I think of this sooner? So much more glamorous than a plain old white board! This pin was originally found on Better Homes and Gardens.

Sooooo, in all honesty, I didn’t take pics of the step by step {that figures}. BUT I will show you the pieces.

1) I bought a 16×20 poster frame from Walmart and some pretty Contact Paper
2) I left the cardboard inside and cut the contact paper to size. I didn’t take the backing off that exposes the adhesive.
3) Place the paper on the “glass” {it’s really plastic} and then pin into place. It’s like a large regular picture frame
4) I hung it up with 1 large command picture hanging strip
5) BOOM DIY Goodness!

What do you think? It’s super simple and I’m sure your little white board could use some upgrading. On another note: you may also notice things look a little different around here. That’s because I’m in my new office! Reveal coming soon! With our new life, we’ve also changed the layout of the site. Hope you like that too!

Awh this is such a good idea! I’m totally on board with doing a couple of pinterest diy’s this month – will keep me busy.
Love the way your message board turned out! It’s so much cuter than a whiteboard!
